Articles of Incorporation

Adopted October 27 2024 — Establishing the legal foundation of the Liberian National Muslim Council Diaspora Organization (LNMC-DO)

These Articles of Incorporation serve as the founding document of the Liberian National Muslim Council Diaspora Organization (LNMC-DO), outlining its name, purpose, membership, and governance structure. The organization is established as a nonprofit, community-based body devoted to unity, education, and service among Liberian Muslims worldwide.

Article I – Name & Duration

The organization shall be known as the Liberian National Muslim Council Diaspora Organization (LNMC-DO). It shall exist as a nonprofit, non-political body with perpetual duration, uniting Liberian Muslims across the diaspora.


Article II – Purpose

The organization is formed to foster unity, cooperation, and cultural preservation among Liberian Muslims worldwide. Its objectives include promoting social development, religious education, youth empowerment, and humanitarian outreach.


Article III – Registered Office & Agent

The principal office shall be located in Seoul, Republic of Korea, or another location as designated by the Board of Directors. A registered agent shall be appointed to handle legal correspondence and compliance.


Article IV – Membership

Membership is open to all Liberian Muslims in the diaspora who support the mission and abide by the organization’s constitution and bylaws. Members shall have equal rights and voting privileges as defined by policy.


Article V – Board of Directors

The Board of Directors shall consist of elected members responsible for strategic oversight, policy formation, and organizational governance. Directors serve renewable two-year terms and may establish committees to execute their duties.


Article VI – Officers

Officers shall include a President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. They shall be elected by the General Assembly and oversee daily operations and implementation of Board resolutions.


Article VII – Meetings

An Annual General Meeting shall be held each year. Special meetings may be called as necessary. Proper notice and quorum must be met for all official proceedings.


Article VIII – Amendments

Amendments to these Articles require a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote of the General Assembly, following due notice of the proposed changes.
